PHYSICIANS MEETINGS

May 2015 in SouthPark- date TBD

“Patient Compliance with Rx” Doctors are responsible to provide the best maintenance and treatment care in preventive and disease state with their patients.  More often than not, this involves prescribing medication(s).  Today many patients are finding the cost of Rx’s has escalated to the point where they cannot afford them.  Does this make the patient non-compliant? Is the physician getting dinged by CMS?  Will this effect the PQRS parameters and the “Meaningful Use” incentives?  Find out more on the subject and get some resources to help break the cycle of patients who can’t afford medications.

Presented By: a Pharmacist in conjunction with NC MedAssist

PRACTICE ADMINISTRATORS MEETINGS

May 6, (Wed.), 2015, 12:30-2pm @ Red Rocks Café/Charlotte *pre-registration required

“HIPAA and Social Media: What are your employees posting on Facebook about your practice and patients?”

Many use Facebook as a sounding board, but is this really a good idea? …. and is it legal?  HIPAA has violation penalties that could be slapped on the employer and/or the employees.  Does your practice have a Facebook/Social Media policy?  Items presented will be PHI (Protected Health Information), criminal and civil penalties, make a practice-wide plan to establish HIPAA with Social Media, and case studies of violations and suspicious postings.  * Note, this applies to all social media/digital whether it be Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and many more.
